Hello
Im just wanting to try and find some advice.
I have a HP agreement and a loan with welcome finance. I got these both out in 2007.
I havent been great with payments i will be honest ive been really really bad.
In 2009 i signed an agreement modifying the hire purchase and the loan in order to reduce the monthly payments.
Since June 2010 i havent made a payment as i was unemployed and pregnant at the time...i did inform the company of this and they really didnt offer any suggestions.
Up to date i owe around 9000 pounds for the car and about 3000 for the loan.
Im now in a position to offer them 7000 settlement figure for both due to my mum basically bailing my out which i thought to be honest they would have snapped my hand off.
First call i made one lady said that the least they would take for the car is around 6500.
Second lady the day after wasnt prepared to to reduce at all as my account is in default and i havent made a payment since june 2010...also said that as of October 2010 they was not doing settlements anymore.
I cant afford monthly payments and want this off my back as i have a baby and i have the one time oppertunity to do something and they dont want to know.....im so stuck
I spoke to a debt company and they are transferring it to a settlement team who supposedly argue the case with the debtor for a settlement with a charge of course but im not sure as i dont know anything about this company.
Im so stuck i cant hand back the car as im in default, i cant sell it, i cant afford it, i cant settle it i really dont know what to do
I also dont have ppi on these accounts i got them taken off first off when i got them

Hi Flumpy 8910,
I don't have any experience making 'full and final' offers to loan companies, I'm afraid, but I know some people on here have managed to do it successfully. Maybe you could read their threads and see how they did it?
Otherwise I'm sure someone will come along with some advice. The other option is contact CAB or CCCS and see if they know how to negotiate thise for you.
Godo luck!
