Younger son has been offered a flat screen tv for his bedroom for Christmas, he has to do the legwork to find a deal. He has a small bedroom with a cabinbed and is going to have it at 1 end of the bed.He has a budget of around £150.

I got a 21" flat screen for £48 from https://www.whatsgoingcheap.com. Only heard of them the other day BUT they are triple A graded goods and it's a case of if you see it buy it cause they might not get it in again. Goodluck. You may walk and you may run

Been searching the shops and internet today and found a 15in LCD in Tesco for £148 which I thought was quite nice, then I gazed at the 15 in LCD with built in DVD for £179. Now although its out of stock he likes that 1 better, far more pratical, 1 less plug etc as he wants a cheapy freeview too.
The old tv has already got a new home and freeview box waiting, so unless someone comes back and says its pants (technical term) then we want that 1!Panda xx

I've looked at the Tesco tvs too and quite liked the look of them but what bothers me is instore they only play dvds which of course makes the picture look pretty good. They can switch it over to TV so ask them to do that.
I once saw in Sainsburys a cheapo LCD next to a Sony LCD and the picture on the Sony was miles better than the cheapo but they are around the £269 mark so out of your budget.
I know the built in DVD means one less plug but it does mean you are paying £30 for a DVD player which are now available for less than £20 in many cases.
As regards the freeview, did you see the freeview in Tesco that is only about the size of a large mouse (pc mouse!) I think that one is about £30.0 -
Sorry just read you have a freeview box waiting
