Moving to Derbyshire - advice please!

Hi there
My husband is being relocated up to Derby and will be working on Raynesway. We are trying to decide where to live and would appreciate any advice. We have 3 boys and would like to live in a village or small town outside of the city with some local amenities so we don't have to drive everywhere. We have looked at Duffield and Melbourne, which both look nice. Can anyone advise on what the commute would be like to Raynesway at rush hour? Any other thoughts or other locations to suggest?
