My son bought some smart shoes from Top Man but whenever he walks on our wooden floors they leave black marks everywhere! Cleaning them up is easy, but is there anything I can put on the soles of his shoes to stop it happening?

Ask him to leave his shoes at the doorIf he's also wearing them outside, he'll be bringing in particles on them, which will scratch your boards, too.
