Shoes leaving black marks?

My son bought some smart shoes from Top Man but whenever he walks on our wooden floors they leave black marks everywhere! Cleaning them up is easy, but is there anything I can put on the soles of his shoes to stop it happening?

Ask him to leave his shoes at the door

If it's just because they're new you could try sanding them x 0

If it's your house, you could just insist

Use the Hyacinth Bucket method...... lay a trail of newspapers to the sofa for him Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!
