you can find your local Freecycle group

Was going to mention Freecycle as well as it would probably be better. Otherwise contact your council as they should have a recycling department, they should be able to point you to your local recycling depot.

You could also try searching recyclenow.com, I tried but wasn't able to on the computer I'm presenly using.

I was struggling to find somewhere to recycle my old Sony DCR HC 19 but managed to get a price from CAMORADA - just searched "Recycle Camcorder" and they came up near the top anyway.

Couldnt get a price off any comparison site or any of the other companies but these guys specialise in Recycling Cameras & Camcorders. I contacted them and asked for a price and they got back to me with a price in the same day. They offered about £15.00 (from memory, cant remember exactly) but the nearest other one I found was for £4.00!!! and that took some serious searching. It was in good nick so I got a decent price but much better than £4.00 someone else was offering!

worth a sending them an e-mail anyway and at least you'll get a price one way or the other
