Branch or call centre?

I've decided trying to speak with a human may stand me in better stead with Santander than just sending off a transfer of equity form - given your past experiences, would I be better off trying to speak with a mortgage advisor in branch rather than whoever answers the phone in a call centre?
Thanks

Branch, if only so you will have more time, and they can hopefully explain the process.requirements better.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You can try the branch, but where I work, they would just refer you to the call centre.0

Years ago, I worked for Abbey, and these were a pain in the backside. but we still saw them, you are effectively taking on a new mortgage, so need "advice".
Are you still tied into Abbey? if not combine it with a remortgage to another lender, and you will probably save money.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I've got a tracker at 0.75 above base rate, so I don't want to lose this mortgage deal right now!0
