Hi there, I'm new to Mystery Shopping, having just signed up with a couple of companies. I just have a couple of questions, if anyone can help.
Is it worth doing if you have to mostly rely on public transport?
Also they say you must print out all the notes, cover sheets etc. One job I was sent details of had at least 9 pages if info to print!! I know it mentions earlier in the thread there may be tax allowances for ink cartridges, but I dont think I'd earn enough to pay tax anyway.
I know it's not something to earn lots of money, but wondered if it's going to be worth me doing it.

There were 26 pages of printing for a shop I did earlier...
Only you can answer your questions. People do shop without driving but it depends where you live and how good the public transport is or if you live in the middle of a city. I wouldn't be able to as almost all of the shops I do require travelling by car but I live in a small town.0 -
Doing my 1st Gap stamp job, can I just buy 1st class stamps? The brief says pick something in the shop.0

Agree with Yonk there I used to do all my ms'ing by car but now I live nearer a town centre and have a train station on the door step - other than the occasional drive thru job I don't think I've used my car since January. It just takes a bit more planning to ensure that I have enough work in one place to cover the cost of the train fare and still come out with an overall profit. I could do alot of the jobs by bus which would be cheaper but take an awful lot longer to get around (I'm shopping in towns up to 50 miles from 'home' as they're on the train line). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
