Quick tax return question. Anywork I did as a MSer from February till April the 5th would be under the 10-11 tax return, right?

    Yes to the UTR

Depends, you can either record all the jobs to the April 5th or you can just include ones you were paid for. It doesn't matter which, just do the same each year.

I'm just including ones I've been paid for, even if the work was done in March, if I haven't been paid, they're going in this new tax year.

I got rejected once, and got in the second time I applied. I don't think I consciously made a different application the second time round so it may just be luck of the draw ;-)
Same here. And I did mention that I work for other companies as well

  • Is anyone still owed money by mystery-shopper co. I am still waiting payment for a December job despite reminding them loads of times. They have come up with really poor excuses each time and I remember reading a while ago that someone else on here was owed money. What should I do next? I have not been offered any jobs by them since December. They are now not answering my emails. Advice please.

Right bring on the headaches, and toothache and backache, all stocked up, just need to get the knees and hips sorted, plus find a company that mystery shops slimming world or weight watchers!
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

If you can get a hold of a phone number for them I would suggest ringing, as that way they can't just ignore you and have to say something, and things might get sorted after a few calls. Make a note of when you make the calls (date & time) and also ask for names of people you speak to and note them down. If you're able to I would also record the phone conversations as it's further evidence should you need it.

If you still get nowhere then send one final email with 'URGENT' at the start of the title and let them know in the email that they have 4 weeks (or another easily achievable timeframe) to pay you. Include in it all details of the jobs they owe you for (fee, any reimbursements and what they were for, job numbers, client names, address of shops, date you did them etc). Then at the end add a sentence advising them that if they do not pay you within the 4 weeks (or other timeframe) specified you will be taking further action, and will then also be reclaiming any legal costs from them. Also tell them if they anticipate any problems with paying within the timeframe to respond to the email stating why and when exactly they will pay you. Keep this email in your sent box.

If you get paid that's great, if they respond saying they can't pay you within the timeframe and say within 5 weeks (for example) then reply saying that you expect it no later and will start legal proceedings if you haven't received the money by 5pm on that day they have specified. If you receive no reply or money within the timeframe then you need to decide if it's worth taking the case to small claims court.
