Boots soltan sun cream bogof

I have just got a good deal on soltan at boots - I got a White pump bottle SPF 30, 200ml (sensitive non whitening is the description on the label) in clearance stand reduced to £2.75. When I got to the till the SA said they are bogof and her colleague said oh those are reduced further to £1.50 so got two x200ml for £1.50!

They also had lots of other sun lotions on clearance, most of which were SPF 25+ so greats for babies, kids and any one who doesn't tolerate the sun very well!
To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D

Do be careful with discounted sun creams though, learn from our mistake. They do go off if they've been around too long, and my very fair Fiancee got badly burnt last year as a result of poor quality from what we thought was a bargain on a well know supermarkets top brand. He got a really nasty burn that was purple as a result.

Dont want to scare, just make you all aware that they do have a sell by date.

I was told by a Sales Assistant that once you open them they last for about 12 months. As with all creams, if you look on the side it should have a little picture of a tin with a lid open with either 12 months or 24 months by the side of it to indicate how long it will last. You should chuck them away if they have been hanging around for a while or have got hot in the sun. Bit worrying though that your fiancee got burnt, that really shouldn't happen, hope he's ok now!! I always think that if sun cream smells quite perfumy it should be ok as it's new, the smell deteriorates as it's used, but don't quote me on that though, it's just my personal opinion.
