Wisdom teeth removal as preventative measure?
Comments
-
I had one out after pain (top) and the other top one has effectively yaken the place of my back molar which was decayed (I have terrible teeth:o) closing up the gap over a couple of years. One bottom one has just come through, yes it hurt but cutting teeth does! I suspect the back molar there will need removing too at some point so hope the wisdom tooth will be okay. i wouldn't have them out 'just in case' as its sooo painful!0

I was 36 when I had my wisdom teeth removed. Top and bottom right hand side. I was having awful problems with bottom one and the dentist removed the top one at the same time. I was surprised at my age, always thought it happened when you are younger. Having gone through the operation which had to be under a general and having some bone removed, I would leave well alone as in my case it was not a nice experience, the after effects were pretty grim and I wouldn't even consider going through it 'just in case'. If I were you I would leave well alone. But it is your decision at the end of the day.
Thanks for your advice.
It sounds pretty awful.

it was directed at welsh pauls comments on getting it free

Thanks for your help.
I work full-time too and don't get much holiday – I doubt work would be too keen for me to take sick time for something I don't definitely need doing! 0 -

Yes, I needed sick time - I was actually waking up during the night sobbing in pain:(0
