Hope someone can put me in the right direction.
Had a full and final offer accepted on a debt with Clarity originally with Abbey bank (santander). £86.69 accepted on £185 debt.
We decided to phone Abbey to ascertain what charges and where the debt has come from - they said account was closed and was nil.
Is this because Abbey have sold the debt?
Should we still pay Clarity without knowing how the charges came about or where the £185 comes from?
Should we ask for proof first?
