I've had a bit of a clear out of my old curtains and sheets. I decided to make a long, thin shopping bag and have used it to keep all my rolls of wrapping paper nice and neat. It is just two rectangles sewn together and a couple of handles sewn on the top. I made it from an old valanced sheet that had gone thin, but the skirt part was fine, so cut it up, sewed it up and voila, my wrapping paper is all sorted for christmas. I had spoilt a few rolls by them unravelling and getting torn so thought I would make one of these. I have got about twenty rolls of different sorts of paper inside so its a great way of tidying them up. I think I am going to make a more regular sized shopping bag size in matching fabric to hold all my bargain christmas cards bought in the sales last year. If I put a small pocket on the front them it can hold sticky tape and scissors and tags and stuff like that. That way, everything is all together and they can hang on a hook or just get propped up in the spare wardrobe.
It's kept me out of the biscuit tin and reused something that was going in the bin so feeling very pleased with myself today. Now I am thinking that if I got some nicer fabric it might make a nice little gift for someone!:T:hello:  please play nicely children !0 -
