Got my eye on the hibiscus syriacus

£3.99 and much underrated in the UK.
Hardy down to -25C.0 -
Also - flowering strongly in that August space when it can sometimes start to look a bit 'over' or empty in the garden.0

Some really good deals there - I hope my local has them in, they didn't have the bargain primroses last week

thanks for this, looks like worth the trip to my nearest one. they also are having pet offers and 5 cans of felix for £2 - got 2 fussy cats who will only eat one fish flavour, looks like im going to have to stock up0

Some on the MSE gardening thread think some of the hardware deals look a little meaner than last year. Plants good value though.0

Oh my goodness, they want £39.99 for the exact same-looking walk-in greenhouse that another thread is discussing for £26 at Argos and £25 at Morrisons! Just another example of why you have to watch Lidl like a hawk and not just assume all their prices are good ones.0

The bulbs look OK though0

Yes, leave them alone and they will most likely regrow from the base. I have 'lost' a wonderful torbay palm this winter but I am not touching it until I am sure it is not going to regrow - it probably will so best to leave them be. xSometimes if you just cut them down they regrow3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
