How can I do my own wedding webpage?

Apologies if this is elsewhere, but searching for website on this forum brings up nearly every post :rotfl:
My friend suggested a great idea...why not set up my own webpage about the wedding? This way, I can put less info in the invites (saving printing & paper etc). I could put links to the venue, other hotels, directions, wedding list etc on there.
Have any of you done this before? I googled "free wedding websites" and quite a few came up - which would you recommend?
Thanks!

We're using http://www.gettingmarried.co.uk
I also had a look at wedding path, but found it a little less user (i.e. guest) friendly. Our wedding website has gone down really well!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0 -

I'm another fan and user of www.gettingmarried.co.uk0

Hi,
I've just started setting ours up with gettingmarried.co.uk too. So far i've been very impressed. As were marrying abroad I though it would be good so I could put all the flight info & holiday package on & it's seems to be working. Really want to get on with it but work keeps getting in the way:rotfl:Marrying the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :j0 -
You could start your own wedding blog by using google blogger if you didnt want to use an actual wedding one. People can follow you and get e-mails when you update it.0

If you want a free site, Squidoo, Blogger, Wordpress and Hubpages all offer easy to set up web pages that you can add as much text & pictures to, and you also have a degree of control over who can view the content.
Another good idea is to set up a facebook page, then all of your friends will be able to contribute to the site with their own words & pictures.0 -
Another for getting married. We have done ours but not complete (and technically i don't need this till Christmas time) x:DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D0

Thanks everyone! I will have a look at all of the sites you've suggested. I think the easier for me to navigate, the better! I don't fancy doing a blog, as I'll either go into overdrive & post about the smallest thing, or I'll never update it! Plus I think that blogs require a spot of creative flair, whereas with a site, it can be factual!
Too many of my guests aren't on Facebook, so I don't want to do it that way, but thanks for the suggestion! :beer:Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

I am a technophobe and found gettingmarried webpage the easiest to set up. Everyone has commented on the website. The good thing is you can use the pages you want and 'pause' the pages you dont wnat to use (in my case anything complicated like RSVPs, tabel plans and Gift list).0
