Moving, thinking of getting a buy to let on current home - advice needed

Options
I'm moving home and thinking of getting a 75% buy to let mortage on my flat.
Will having a buy to let mortage go against me with lenders when getting a 75%repayment mortage?

If the rental income covers the new mortgage, it will generally be ignored.

Beware though that rents have fallen two (2) months in a row (LSL), void periods are increasing and home values are falling.

You can always get consent to let in the short term to trial it out, but don't expect any huge profits far from it.

  • Thanks for quick replies. I'm not looking to make a big profit as long as the rent covers the mortgage.
