This is currently half price at Boots:

It's probably too biased towards blues and purples, but people who use it (including both my daughters) are enthusiastic about its staying power.
And Stila last well too. Bonkers prices at M&M at the moment (but not for long)

A better range of colours for the effect you're after at cheapsmells:

Another vote for MAC.
Been using it for a few years, whilst it does cos more than high street brands, I think it's well worth it!! I must own around 15 or so eye shadows alone!:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
Thanks Donna, i have never used Mac before and so far from what you all are saying they must be good so i think i will go with them then :0) thanks for your opinion x

It costs £25 but you can redeem this against their products, which is great. I've been once, and bought most of the products she used.
I'm going to go again to get a wedding look. I'm still toying with the idea of doing my own make up on the day.:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0 -
so they dont for it for free then?

No, not a full make over. Purely because they spend about an hour with you, but then most people would normally buy something from the counter afterwards. As a rough guide, foundations around around the £20 mark, eyeshadows are £11, lippy's/gloss start from £9.
The products just last forever and ever. I bought a pot of black eyeliner nearly a year ago, and it's still got about half to go. My foundation easily lasts about 9 months, and I wear it every day.:oGetting married 23rd June 2012!!:o0
