I had a debt with the Prov that's been passed to C.K Edrupt, they sent me an income and expenditure form to fill out with the intention of me paying them weekly, one of the forms of payment is an allpay card that they will sort out for me, could someone explain what this would entail?

I thought Allpay was a prepaid 'credit' card type affair. I'm not sure how that would work, unless you were expected to load the money onto the card and they then make deductions from it. Unless you are guaranteed not to incur any form of additional charges, do not accept this method of payment. If they try to take an additional payment, or a larger payment than agreed, you have to make sure you do not incur more costs if it gets rejected.
Tell them you will do a monthly standing order, and ask for their bank details. They should not refuse a genuine method of payment. Do not give them your bank details for a direct debit or there is a risk they may take more than agreed, by accident of course! They will ask, but tell them you prefer to make sure the payment is going yourself, rather than requiring them to take it.
Standing order or cheques only, but I'd avoid cheques so they don't have your signature either. Don't let them bully you into paying more than you can afford either.
Good luck. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

I think they have a bill payment side as well as a prepaid card. It means they give you a plastic card that you can use to go into a post office or 'paypoint' location to use to pay cash off your debt. Paypoints are often in corner shops etc for people to pay towards gas, elec, tv licences etc.
You could do this option if you are sure you will be able to get to a place you can pay it and feel you will be disciplined enough with your money to pay it in full on time each month (or week). I'd agree with betty that standing orders are usually prefereable as you cannot then forget about by accident.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
