EBAY, I got 3 from there, very fast service indeed:A

I've got a couple of these extra shelves:
    http://www.betterware.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=019592&cid=112&language=en-GB
which were very useful when cooking pizza for 20 people LOL. I have to admit they're not hugely robust though - I'm not sure they'd cope with a heavy casserole dish.

Couldn't be bothered to cook last night so had hot buttered toast instead. Not great nutrition but it was yummy and cheap :D

Weekly shop tonight, list is very short (mainly f&v) so I'm going to Lidl - also means I can buy some fruit bushes (on offer this week - 4 for £5) which I'd really like to try in my garden. I might save a fortune in raspberries come the summer :j More likely I'll just have a few dead spiky sticks in the garden though :rotfl:

    Well Done - I couldn't do a link :T

Thankyou for directing me too, It's a nice selection of meals there, I'm thinking i'll meal plan for 2 weeks and then increase to 3, then 4.
Even when I weekly plan something always comes up, like today we were supposed to have chilli but came home from my mums with mashed pots, and loads of veg (they're going on holiday) along with milk, coffee and OJ :money: So we ended up having that so the chilli will get pushed til tomorrow.

Can you include a designated "leftovers for dinner" day in your meal plan each week? That would give you a bit of flexibility and you can do a bit of shuffling meals around without skipping any that you bought stuff for specially.

kids are sick again :( and one of them can't even hold down water :( so a nsd for me again, i keep remebering things i've forgot and hubby put in a few requests so my shop for mon is now averaging at £73 still not bad tho as in theory it shud then only cost me another £30 for the month, then 4 lots of nursery money so £15, i have bought loads of treats tho so oh will be happy

oh has requested i don't freeze milk he says it's confusing him he thinks it's out of date and then even tho he knows it's not he keep thinking it tastes funny :rotfl:i did point out the rest of us had no problem with it but if it keeps him happy :)

i don't have a set day for leftovers because i try to make proper meals out of them, like tonight were having chicken pie made from teh leftover chicken casarole from yesterday, i also got 3 lunchs for me and the wee man out of it (which was impressive since the thights were reduced to 88p to start with)

my lovely hubby is bringing me breakfast, a sausage egg and cheese bap from the chippy and fil is paying so it will be even nicer :D

Today is a NSD as far as groceries go for me. I am at a information evening at school with second son this evening. The other boys are having takeway pizza but that comes out another budget.

I plan to bake today. I have a banana and an apple to use up. It is so chilly that I won't venture into the garden today. I am going to sow some plant later.

Trip to Mr M last evening £32.51, £2.32 for the milk man. Signature updated. Dh has split the weeks shop into two so he will go again on Friday or Saturday. Our Mr M has had a refit and are offering money off vouchers as an apology for the inconvenience. Hence two shops to get as much discount as possible.

Nick well done on clearing your debt!:j

I had my shopping delivered last night so need to add £71.56 to my total so far. Shouldn't need to do a big shop for another couple of weeks as I have lots in now. Also have a freezer full of leftovers which would normally have ended up in the bin :o

    Hello All,

Can I join in please? You look like a friendly bunch!

I'm trying to cut down my grocery bill from about £400 per month to £350.... should be do-able, 2 adults and a dog full time, 2 teens for 4 nights per week..... hopefully posting on here will give me a much needed boot to get my act together on this!

Therefore I'll put £350 as my target grocery spend for March. I do my shopping weekly, and unfortunately the £123.37 spent already needs to go against this!!!

I`ve managed to spend nothing at all so far :j

I have very well stocked cupboards and both freezers are jammed full, i`ve just been trying to force two tupperware containers in the overflow freezer and had to rearrange everything so that i could get them in :o

MrsM - thankyou for posting the SW recipes, i`ve been threatening to have a go at this on my own (no classes for me) for as long as i can remember and i`ve still not got around to it, this will help an awful lot.
I can remember the red and green day thingy but i won`t faff with the EE

Nick - Well done :j you must feel elated :D I could remember that someone had paid off their debts but not who :o i get so lost with who is doing what etc lol

I was looking around yesterday and found this site http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/ which has lots of recipes for peeps interested in SW, hope that it helps someone. I`m on the lookout for a list of free foods etc now as my old book has vanished *rolls eyes* no doubt its somewhere safe :rotfl:

    Have a good day everyone.

    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

My shopping list for the weekend/next week is quite short, mainly fresh fruit and veg and a few Mr S basic staples like pasta, cooking choc and spuds and some cheese and ice cream. I originally thought I would try A*di and L*dl as they are quite close and both had good offers on but when I was in the city centre I decided to see what stalls they had in the covered market.

I got 5 leeks, 14 apples, 5 oranges, 5 bananas, 2 head of broccolli, a bag of green grapes and 2 mangoes for £6.50:j I am chuffed to bits the quality is fab, I got the bananas for nowt but have eaten half the grapes as they are so nice and they are supposed to be for work:o

I am converted:D I won't use that market in particular as I have to pay for parking and I was in the city anyway but there is a nice F&V shop not too far away that I am going to try instead. We eat a lot of F&V and had been gettinga box but things are so tight his month I have had to cancel it until April.

Just need to pop to Mr S this afternoon to get the rest. Mysupe has it costing just under £15 (I am choosing basic cheese, ham and pasta though). If I can do my weeks shopping for not much over £20 I will be over the moon:D

Will report back the total spend this afternoon.....
