Hi Any advce would be helpful. Thanks
I have a Barclays Goldcard and Mastercard. I have had an arrangement to pay £30 & £16 respectively since last Aug which I have maintained faithfully. I had no problems prior to this and had never missed a payment in over 15 years.
My debt has been passed from Barclays via Mercers to Calders, as part of my "debt journey" (I have to say they everyone I have soken to has been OK!) I have maintained contact with them throughout and when I finanlly accepted I had a problem contacted them immediately.
I was told last weekend my debt would be passed from Calders to a "local debt collection agency" at the end of March. This fills me with terror. I live in the Manchester area. Can anyone tell me what to expect next? I thought as I had an agreed arrangement and stuck to it they would accept this as they are aware I'm trying (!) to sell my house, as I am lucky enough to have sufficient equity to clear it-when its sold!
My circumstances haven't changed at all and this is the max I can afford (I have other debts too and this payment has been worked out with the help of CCCS).
Thanks in anticipation for your advice.

Unlikely that anyone will call. If someone does, then just just tell them to sling their hook and that you are dealing with this in writing only.
Just keep paying what you can afford, and ignore any silly games they may try to play.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Oh. And if anyone does call, or they start trying to hassle you directly, then complain to the OFT.
You have appointed CCCS to act on your behalf, and bypassing them and contacting you directly would be an "unfair practice" according to the OFT.
