    I'm after advice please.
I started a new job 5 days a week, 3 hours a day. My new employer says my hol entitlement is 12 days a year! and as the office is shut on bank hols I won't get paid them.
What should it be based on the basic allowance?
I think they have pro ratad my hols based on hours, not days, so I think I should get 20 something days and then I'm clueless re the bank hols.
    Can anyone help please?

What hours would a full timer work. Where I work its 35 hours per week times that by 52 and that gives you 1820 hours per year. They get 25 days holiday per year 25 x 7 = 175 hours. You divide the holiday hours by the working hours = 0.09615385.

    I work 39 weeks at 28 hours and 13 weeks at 10.5 total 1228.5 hours per year. 1228 x 0.0961815385 = approx 118 hours holiday for me.

On top of that I get paid holiday hours for bank holidays - see above threads.
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Iw ould just ask them to explain how this meets the statutory minimum on holidays and complies with the part time regulations if full time workers get more than the statutory holidas.

Don't tell them what you think is wrong untill they expalian how they have worked this out.

What do the full time workers get in total? normal days and BH)

As a 5 day week of 3 hours a day you are entitled to 5.6 weeks, so 28 days minimum at 3hrs pay per holiday day.

So as well as those 25 days the full-time people get all 8 bank holidays in addition?

you are legally entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks per year, as you work 5 days a week this equates to 28 days at 3hrs per day (inc bank holidays) your company must give you the chance to take all your holidays in the holiday year and cant buy back any from you.
your total adds up to 84 hrs but you must take them at 3 hrs per day not in one lump ie they cant pay you 84hrs pay to have only 1 week off.
