Selling Tesco clubcard vouchers on Ebay

Until a couple of days ago when somebody mentioned it in a post here, I had never even thought of selling my clubcard vouchers to someone else. I was intending to use my current vouchers to go towards a big xmas shop, but a couple of people said it was an absoloute no-no. Can somebody explain to me how selling clubcard vouchers on Ebay works, because I have no idea - apparently you can get substantially more than the original value etc. All help much appreciated

I've not tried selling the vouchers on ebay, but have you thought about using your vouchers for one of the Clubcard Deals? There are so many options that there should be something that appeals to you.
I'm using my latest set of vouchers about £40 worth to get RAC membership for myself and my partner for the year.

  • Buyagift deals were good, but unfortunaly no longer going to be part of the clubcard deals.

converting them to legoland tickets can be good, especially if you convert them up in late june then list them mid july ready for the school holidays as many of the bogof offers are not valid in the school holidays where as tesco deals are.

MFI deals can be tricky as the vouchers that come back are in your name and you have to purchase the items.

have a look on the tesco clubcard deals website. see whats on offer and what others are getting for there vouchers

I have bought vouchers from ebay before. They generally get over double the face value. But there are some great deals, like restaurants, cinemas, hotel stays, etc, that you could use for a Christmas present, and the vouchers would then be worth 4 times face value to you.

Hi - Last night I went to see George Michael at the MEN Arena Manchester - and before the concert we went to Bella Italia on deansgate. It was lovely and we used £20 worth of tesco clubcard deals - so in the end the meal and drinks ended up costing up £5 in club card deals plus £8 and then a tip - so it was a great deal.

I am thinking about exchanging some of my vouchers into Bella Vista tokens for family and friends as christmas pressies as I would be delighted to receive them so I think they will go down well.

    Hope this helps.

Remember is nice to be important but more important to be nice

  • I sold some , i would advise listing them at face value and stating that some of the offers are non trasferable. I got a number of people asking me if I would change them into MFI or the jewellery vouchers - I just said after I'd been paid and that the onus was on them if they were unacceptable. I made more than twice the face value for them which made up for the fact that at the time I wouldn't have used them
    Good luck

What good are they unchanged because it states any vouchers sent out eg MFI ones would be sent to the registered address so how do they change them without them coming back to you
  • I have only just become a tesco card holder. I got a voucher last week for £2 off... so what happens now.. do i have to spend that ? Or can I change it to deals..or do i need more?
I dont have a tesco near me ! I just get my points through from powergen !

So dont know what to do with it now. But u cant sell it on ebay can you because it has your name on the coupon/voucher

worth noting that its only you that can change the clubcard points into deals as they only accept orders to be delivered to your registered address.. so unless you are willing to do this on behalf of the person you sold them to on eBay, I wouldn't bother :-)

also, some of the deals may come with the registered person's name on them, eg MFI. so proof of ID would be needed to use them ..
