All she has to do is to sign a receipt to say that she has had the money, the date it covered, the children's names, and the fact that it was for child support- there is nothing the CSA could do as this is undeniable proof.

nice option if good communication is available between parties.

but let's face it. most of us wouldn't be able to get their ex to sign diddly.

and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.
  • I have been transferring the money into an account ready to be paid across since my first pay. The PWC knows it is there for our little one as soon as it is resolved.

she obviously isn't that hard up if she's digging her heels in and being awkward.

just leave her sat on £0 until she sees sense. ;)

  • Thanks for all the replies. When I asked about voluntary payments I was advised not to by the CSA.

    exactamundo.

cos if the pwc decides to be awkward, you WILL end up paying twice. and they know it.

even if you do it officailly via bank and label it CM etc, then the PWC can STILL deny it if they fancy being a !!!!!!.

I agree - hence don't pay but put the money aside into an account just in case - that way you can keep any interest for yourself or new family.
  • Thanks for all the advice.

The only reasons I can see for keeping the case open seem to come down to nervousness/lack of trust or possible feelings of control. Unfortunately without any communication between us, or clarity from the CSA it will be dificult for me to do anything about these concers. I have suggested we discuss it with third parties as mediators but that suggestion was ignored.

Its probably stating the obvious but I'm getting tired of losing sleep over this.
