ceramic or induction

Im torn between a ceramic and induction hob.

I presume that I can cook with anything on a ceramic hob but special pans on an induction hob.

Anyone else have any pros/cons

Dixons have an induction one on special offer £199 or a hotpoint at £219.

Im having a new kitchen so now is the time to decide.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

They just have to have magnetic bases.

    Induction is fantastic.
Have you ever used induction???, because I do not think that you would be asking if you have.
New set of pans is a small extra, considering the fun you'll have with an induction hob.
    Cons, can't think of any.

Induction all the way. As long as your pans have ferous bases, you'll be fine.

Honestly, they are 1000% better than ceramic/halogen hobs: safer, more energy efficient and easier to clean :)
  • I have a single plug in induction hob which I bought from Lidl for £30.I can honestly say I far prefer it to my very expensive Neff gas on glass hob and when I change my kitchen I will definitely be having an induction hob. With this in mind I have been buying induction friendly pans for the last couple years so I won`t need to change them.

    I'm another vote for induction.

Had mine for nearly 2 years now, would never go back to either gas or ceramic.
