Magician Cost

Hi,

we are looking to hire a magician for our reception but dont really know what were looking for price wise. If anyone has hired one how much was it? And has anyone any recommendations for magicians in the North West?

Thanks

I have only had one quote, and that was £399 for 2 hours, or £499 for 3 hours. Seems very expensive but he is very very good. Those are 2012 prices and he is fully covered by public liability insurance etc. :)

We are using Paul Lytton, http://www.northeastmagician.co.uk/ he does travel, so depending on where you are in the North West. He is charging us £250, think that's for about 1.5/2 hours, but i'd have to dig out the contract as we booked him last year. (so don't know if his prices have gone up). He will be entertaining guests while the photo's are being taken.

Paul is amazing, i used to work in promotions and he was big on the events scene when new clubs were opening. A friend of mine used him for her wedding last year and i couldn't keep my eyes off him!!

try glenn scott at magical mayhem he is in the northwest
he is really good and quite funny
    he does other stuff too

just been told his partner does face painting too ans she is really good
which will keep the little ones happy, but i doubt the parents would be seein little johnny as a tiger in his wedding clothes lol
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • No recommendations (we're down south) but ours is costing us £300 for 2.5 hours.
He's more of a contemporary magician though, with most of his tricks being card based.

    HTH!

Don't have any recommendations, but one to avoid is Darren O'Neill - this is his website - as he turned up drunk to my best mate's wedding, allegedly charged his drinks & a room to the bride & groom's bill, then he assaulted a guest & got arrested. Not a nice person.
  • I've had quotes from £200 - £600... Its a tad crazy. I googled magician - newcastle then went to page 5 and emailed 5 people from the links.

Always good to get multiple quotes.
:DStolen the OH's account so it's Jenna - not Neil:D

I have had a quote for £350 so far which seems within the normal price range, Im just weary of booking a magician without actually seeing them first as I dont want to pay that sort of money for them to do a couple of card tricks!! Have e-mailed the guy you recommended for a quote thanks!!
