They don't seem to be on freeview - rather Discovery channel I think. However River Cottage series are usually repeated on Channel 4 at least once.0

I've already planned where my pizza oven is going to sit in the garden :rotfl:My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

Maybe this would help. I would love one of these and have told hubby he has a project to work on over winter in the garden
Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

If you're feeling adventurous try joining the site uknova.com to get all the episodes of the program.
Only programs not available to buy are on there, so no one is losing out.0 -
How did they actually fire up the oven. I saw them build it but next thing I knew the pizzas were cooked!0

If you have £150 to spare, you can go on a River Cottage day course to learn how to make the oven. You come away with plans too.

I once nearly bought one of these some years back.it came in two sizes and I drove to a place near Marlow (Bucks) to see them. They were imported from Portugal and the man said it would take 2 men to carry a big one to my car and probably break the back axle so would have to be delivered on a lorry. Now here's the good bit: they cost somewhere between £300 and £400 and looked just liike Hugh's, so making one like his from mud and stuff sounds like a fantastic bargain ! I shall def be doing one next summer. I thinnk you just make a wood fire inside and keep feeding it till it's really hot...roll on summer !0

I didnt see the program but i'll try and catch a repeat of it. Can you use the oven as a tandoor for doing naan breads do you think? I'd love one of those!0

when it was dry they lit a fire inside (wood) almost filled the oven, not sure of a time scale then embers were moved to the rim of the cavity and the pizzas placed inside not touching the embers.
appeared to have built on a clay/stone base0
