know if Boots points can be added on later

Forgot my advantage card today but the cashier informed me that points cannot be added on later. I argued that I have had this done before but she said it was 'a new rule'. Comments please

Think they are changing their policy on this.
My mum brought me something and asked for the receipt to be validated so the points could be added later. The assistant said she would this time but that in future they won't be able toGive me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.0
