Hi, I'm new to this site and really need some advice. At the end of last year I got inundated by texts and phone calls from Fredrickson International, I ignored them as I don't answer texts/calls from numbers I don't know. I've been sent 2 letters by Fredricksons asking me to call them on a personal matter, i ignored them. They've now sent a letter with an old Capital One debt saying I owe them £550, and they will start proceedings. I've now had a letter from Fairmile LLP asking me for £900 or they'll get a County Court Judgement against me. Having read some of the posts on here, i've sent a prove it letter to each of them. his debt goes back to 2005, but I assumed it got swept up as part of my IVA and as it's coming close to the 6 years Statute Barred time i guess they're trying their luck.
To top it all off, i;m now not living at my previous address and they've sent a card saying that LARGO Legal & Receivables will be visiting this weekend. WHAT DO I DO TO AVOID THIS? The girl i lived with previously is of a nervous disposition and I don't want to let her know or worry her. I've had to move home to my mum's and she would be mortified if she knew any of this!
Soory, for this long rambling post. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi lindsay,
Send the letter below and if they do happen to show up, don't let them in and tell them to take a very long walk off a very short Pier.
Dear Sirs,
Account No: XXXXXXXX
Please be advised that I will only communicate with you in writing. I have noted your repeated attempts to contact me over the past few weeks and these have been duly logged by time and date. Should it be your intention to arrange a doorstep visit, please be advised that under OFT rules, you can only visit me at my home if you make an appointment and I have no wish to make such an appointment with you.
There is an implied license under English Common Law for people to be able to visit me on my property without express permission; the postman and people asking for directions etc (Armstrong v Sheppard & Short Ltd [1959] 2 QB 384. per Lord Evershed M.R.). Therefore take note that I revoke license under Common Law for you, or your representatives to visit me at my property and, if you do so, you will be liable to damages for a tort of trespass and action will be taken, including but not limited to, police attendance.
Yours faithfullyIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
