another bcw + orange thread

Sorry for another thread on these two "companies" but after reading the countless ones im still non the wiser as to where i stand

4 years ago i extended my contract with orange and was told i would now receive free text messages as part of my plan, but my contract was never changed and i texted my way to a massive bill and this is where the fun begins.

after many phone calls we agreed to cut both our loses and i paid a final amount of £250+ and i thought that was the matter finished with, until 4 weeks ago i received a letter off bcw stating that i owe £760, straight away i contacted orange and they said not to worry its paid off, i contacted bcw and they didnt want to know stating its not a matter for orange it is their debt

i left it and now i have a letter saying they are about to start court proceedings!! apparently orange HAVE contacted them and said yep debt is correct when they told me it wasn't, ive tried to contact orange and they have said they arent allowed to discuss it with me (whats changed in 2 weeks?) and i need to do it through bcw.

i am now awaiting the proof of debt and fortunately for me i still have a lot of my old statements and letters from my dealings with them over the first instance of being given the wrong contract.

sorry for the essay but i wanted to give you all as much info as possible

UPDATE

Having looked through my old paper work I have discovered another letter from a different dca for the same amount which i settled on a lesser amount, which i have proof of paying, so it looks like the original dca have not declared i have paid it and sold it back to orange who have then sold it on again.

Any ideas on what to do now because the next step for me is to go to all the relevant agencies and kick up merry hell.
