I've only ever seen these as a set i.e. they come with both the bed frame and the pull-out bed which goes underneath. I think they are called trundle (maybe truckle) beds. I'm not sure you can get the lower one on its own.
  • We bought one of these as a guest spare bed. It's a metal frame with beech slats with a low prfile mattress. We got it from IKEA a few years ago now, not sure if they still sell them.
  • we purchased a complete bed kit from Additions catalogue that has the pull out bed base or can be used as a storage unit.

    Kidspace arionza bed in additions

they are good, the first one we bought had quite sharp edges but they must have improved it a little and it now has rounded ends. My kids love them.
  • IKEA TROMSO underbed. sorry i'm not allowed to add the link, it's under the daybed section. This looks an updated version of the Ikea one that we've got. hope this helps.

    odd underbed ikea £60.26

This is the one we were looking at but at this price i thought it was a bit too much as we need to get a matress but we've just bought my son a single bed and matress less than 6 months ago - didn't think of this at the time - seen similar on ebay so maybe get it from there.
