Hi
I have been temping for an insurance company & been told I have been doing really well & they want to offer me a permanent job.
The problem I have is that they want to run a credit check on me. I have several defaults and a ccj. I have no problem paying my debts as i keep up with my repayment plan on all of them but could i lose my job?

They could decide not to offer you a permanent contract because of your credit file. Although I've don't know how common it is to check in the Insurance industry.
I would suggest that you talk to someone there and explain the situation with your credit file before they do a search and explain that you are in now making payments according to a repayment plan you have agreed with them. Ask them if its likely to impact on the job offer.
They will obviously find out anyway if you allow the credit check so it makes sense to be upfront and have a chance to explain your side of it. If you don't allow the credit check then chances are they won't offer you a job anyway (and they could find out about the CCJ even without your permission via the registery trust).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
