Need a new Microwave

Had our nice Delonghi one for 13 months and its gone wrong (microwaves with the door open, but does nothing when the door is shut!), 12 month Garantee typical...

Anyhow, looking for a new one will spend about £40, any ideas peps!

I thought about getting one from tesco.com, but the only codes i can find are for groceries, not direct :(

I have just been sent a Littlewoods catalouge with a £25 off Voucher when you spend £60 or more, but the only one above that price (that looks any good) is £75 (so £75-£25= £50).

There must be some good deals out there just stuggling to find them....Help please :o
:j I'm keen :j

Try contacting Delonghi (letter rather than email). Explain the problem and how surely it must be dangerous but dont come across as aggressive or annoyed. Be polite and freindly, hopefully they will agree that 13 months is not really long enough for a microwave to last.
I once had a 6 year old microwave replaced (different company) because the paint was flaking off inside, but I guess its more to do with who you speak to than the company policy.

Its worth a go though, right?

I thought the same, gave them a polite phone call, but due to me not having a receipt, they told me there was nothing they could do...
I must admit i was a bit miffed, it wasn't a cheap one and thought delonghi were a good brand to go with - live and learn

There is a 500 point code for a £50.00 spend at Tesco Direct, it's on the last page of the Tesco Codes under discounts & vouchers.

Thanks for starting this thread as I too need a new microwave, liquids are fine, but the chicago town small pizzas are taking 12 minutes to get them cooked in the middle.

So anyone with great deals I will apreciate your input too.

Aldi sell Delta branded kitchen appliances which are in fact DeLonghi. They often have simple microwaves or microwaves with grills. In my local they tend to hang around for a while and they're often £40-50 - worth checking as they always have a 3 year warranty.

    Lidl sell similar.
