I swear by the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion, I've got really sensitive skin and it's about the only thing that doesn't make me react badly. Went from really dry flaky skin to smooth, soft clear skin. I used to use the full clinique 3 step plan, but my skin has calmed down a bit now so I stick to the Soap & Glory Off Your Face Wipes (daily) and Face Scrub (3 times a week in the shower) and the clinique moisturiser.

Many years ago i went with my cousin to have my make up done at Clinique ... i personally wouldnt use it if it was free.

I bought the wrong number cleanser once and it did the same to me, depends on which one you get to match your skin type. The girl should've matched you better really as that bad experience has put you off of a really good brand.

I've never understood the hype about clinique, I've not found it any good at all!?!

It's sup rising just how many people use liz Earle, it's supposed to be great for teenage/problem skin too!.

If you are after natural products, I have recently started using Angela Langford products. (https://www.angelalangford.com) She also has a facebook site.

She uses organic products, and her products include serums, face oils, and the most fab cleanser I have ever used. All the products smell lovely too.

She also does a free trial, you fill in a questionnaire and she sends samples to you (you have to pay postage). There are also deals quite often as well.

I have no link to Angela other than being a very happy customer.

  • I think it is worth investing in the moisturiser that works for you. please don't assume that expensive is always better. it's more important to find the moisturiser that fit you.:D

It's definitely worth investing in good basic skincare - the problem is, different things suit different people, as you can see from the various reactions to Clinique here!

I personally love Clinique, there's nothing better for me than the Dramatically Different Lotion. If you want to try it, you can get a free sample with the next edition of Glamour magazine - out 3rd March (marked as the April edition).

Definitely try the OCM as posted above - the single thing that's made the biggest difference to my skin my entire life!

As for other moisturisers, definitely ask for samples before buying anything expensive. Just go into the department stores and ask. Even if they don't have any samples to give out, most will make some recommendations and apply to your skin, so see how it feels on, and for the rest of the day - don't buy on the spot!

And get a good spf! Either in the moisturiser, or a separate facial one. Nothing makes you age faster than sun damage :)

Have used a few of the LE products and like them. Although you won't get a sample to try, you can purchase smaller sizes from the website which would at least let you see if you like them without spending a huge amount. Agree that you do need to try though - other recommendations are a guide but it's your skin that will decide eventually.

I use LE cleanse and polish but for moisturiser nothing beats oilatum!

Also, I really disagree with the under 30s not needing to moisturise. I'm 23 and my skin is VERY dry.

If you don't want to buy full size look at Liz earle website and you will see most things come in "try me" sizes which cost less

Not only can you buy 'try me' sizes from Liz Earle, the smart way would be to buy them from QVC. You can try them for 30 days. If you don't like it send it back for a full refund
