There was a post on here giving a code for £5 off Empire Stores orders that made orders under a fiver free. I've just got mine and I've been charged even though my Checkout Was £000. Has anyone else had this problem?

I did hear of someone else having this problem - it might have been posted in vouchers? Sorry I can't remember. If you call them they will explain why you have been charged and give you the option to send it back. The last three times, they've taken my complaint, refunded me instantly and never asked me to send the items back - probably costs them too much to bother! Give it a try

Yes lots of people had this problem. My emails didn't get me very far, maybe it's better to ring.I've been lucky, I'll be lucky again. ~ Bette Davis0

I got charged as well, which to me has made me realise to be be very wary of codes that i use. Not all codes are open to everyone, and although people are nice enough to give us these codes they dont always give us the fine details and the catches. However we all love a good deal.0

I received a letter from them telling me that the goods were so popular ( due to unexpectedly high demand) that they have run out, but then I didn't give any card details so they couldn't charge me.Wombling £457.410

Please note that if you didn't give card details, they will open an account for you and 'charge' the item to that account. If you don't pay they will charge interest etc etc so you could end up paying more. So if you have been charged and you don't want to pay for the item, you need to return it to them.Quidco ~ £3,718 | Greasypalm ~ £354 | Freefivers ~ £45 | Pigsback ~ £260 shopping vouchers + 15 CDs

Are you sure you have actually been charged? The Delivery Note states the value of the item - but that is not the same as the Invoice, which is sent about 14 days later. I received a delivery note which appeared to 'charge' a value for the item; however, when I phoned, I was told that my account showed a Nil balance.
So don't worry too much - wait for the Invoice to arrive.0
