Hi there!
I am off to London on 17th and 18th of December and I wondered if any of my fellow mse friends could reccommend anything to do in the capital for free or very cheap? Just me and a friend so I don'e have to worry about children. I have found the christmas carols thing in Trafalgar square every evening but nothing much else.
I am on a very tight budget ( got the travelodge for 15 pounds night!!) so any help with ideas would be helpfull........
p.s - anything unusual like jack the ripper walks or whatever would be great!!

I would suggest the museums. All of them are free entry and there are some really fascinating things on offer. We particularly enjoyed the Natural History Museum and the British Museum, but there are loads and you are sure to find something to suit your taste.Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0

There are several winter ice rinks being erected one at the Natural History Museum, could be fun to watch even if you can't afford to skate... take a walk along the river too lost of interesting things to see there and the Galleries are free of course.... all the usual sights to see , Big Ben , Picadilly, Trafalgar Squ, Buck House, Tower Bridge....
Just remembered Portobello Market is fascinating if you've never been.....Sat Morning
Hope you have fun.....#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

If you have any tescos vouchers i think u can exchange them for entry tickets to places such as london eye or the wax mueseum. you get more value for you money cus you exchange £2.50 for £10 worth of the ticket of something like that can't remmeber the exact figure i think it depends on what deal you take .. but you have to send off for it so .. check it out if you do .. https://www.tescos.com/clubcard
Just walking around is fun0 -
FIND THE LONDON NOSE!
I like to think I know London really well, and was told ( and found ) this some years ago. In Central London is "The London Nose" , a real oddity.
Doing a google search is too easy, does anyone else know the London nose or other central London oddities (ie the nazi dog, the Met police coat hook etc etc)?"If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0 -
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=273116 print off the vouchers and go to all the big department stores and collect free goodies!People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...
