Bailiffs

Hi I'm a newbee to posting on the forums but have been an MSE fan for a few years now!
Can anyone help? Bailiffs have turned up at a house I used to live at demanding £354 for a parking ticket which I was given over four years ago. In that time I have moved to another property and had two children so the parking ticket fell to the wayside! Also the car the parking ticket was for has since been crushed.
In the last few weeks we have finally sorted out our finances after many arguments so I really don't want to go back to square one! I have tried to contact the Bailiff but his phone is turned off.
Any help and advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you did not get the court papers on this, you may be able to file an out of time declaration. Check the parking forum here of bailiffadviceonline. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

something not right there a 4 year old parking ticket being enforced by bailiffs
http://www.justice.gov.uk/civil/procrules_fin/contents/parts/part75.htm#IDA2N2KC
contact the Traffic Enforcement Centre on 08457 045 007 you will need to fill in a TE7 & TE9
form and state on it something along the following lines:
I was unable to file this statement within time because it was not until a bailiff company visited my previous address that I was made aware that all statutory notices had been sent to my previous address at ( put previous address).
If you don't have the PCN number i believe you can give them the vehicle registration numberI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites
If you are in any doubt please seek legal/expert advice help0
