"UberOrbs are set to become the hottest new stress relieving gizmo/desktop plaything, and are so enthralling you'll forget your worries, your work and everything else in between. Try pulling the UberOrbs apart and holding them on your desk with the tips touching. Then let go. What happens next is truly mesmerising and the first time you witness it you may emit a somewhat amazed yelp. We know we did!
UberOrbs vibrating

Upon releasing the UberOrbs they immediately perform a manic magnetic ballet of attraction and repulsion; clashing, spinning and making a spookily unnerving insectoid chirping sound in the process (our musical friends tell us this is called a 'glissando'). Initially, this fascinating phenomenon is startling, but after a few goes you'll be totally hypnotised and unable to put them down.
UberOrbs party

There are numerous ways you can play with UberOrbs (see the videos below for some examples) and their extremely magnetic properties combined with their aesthetically pleasing and tactile shape will have you playing with them absentmindedly for hours on end, a bit like modern day worry beads. We confidently predict UberOrbs are a craze waiting to explode.":j

They are often in pound shops..

    WARNING..
Watch where you put them they are very strong magnets.. Don't put them near credit cards as they could wipe the information on the magnetic strip. Its wise to keep them away from sensitive electronics too. I have to make sure my daughter keeps them away from her nintendo DS games.
  • Similar ones were in Poundland the last time I went in and there were 2 different sets in the one blister pack...I forget how much they were now though :-D
  • I consficated some in class a couple of weks ago as they make a funny noise- couldn't stop fiddling about with them. Thanks OP

They sound like the things I brought home from Majorca this year, they were selling out there for 1.50 euros a pair!

I was amazed to see them at £9.99 at places here in the UK.

Keep them away from your pc and tv too, sends them doo lallay! We sell them in my shop ('buzz magnets') and we have to keep them well away from the till when someone buys them else they send the till and pdq machine into a bleeping frenzy!
You can also get little fingers pinched between them aswell as they are so powerful so be wary about giving them to youngsters.
