Art deco table numbers.. / invite template

Hi everyone

I'm looking for art deco table numbers and a template for inside the invitation. They don't have to match particularly but have to be art deco style.

I've seen some (found via google) but unfortunately there is no price on the website and my mum always says if you have to ask, you can't afford it ...:rotfl:so any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
Vanessa

This is the range, although I think I'd prefer it in black or silver

    ooh they are really pretty.

I'm thinking that the text would be ok as you can download an art deco font but if you wanted to copy the style/shape of the invite & table number cards that might be difficult.

I've had a quick look to see if there is maybe any stamps for an art deco outline/border but not had much luck :(

if you wanted a copy of these - if you could find something to use for the outline/border and a stamp or a stencil for the feather effect in the background on the invite they would be easy enough to replicate.

If you didn't mind just going with the feel of these but not using the exact same background images it would be easy enough to make something up I think. :D
  • Hi Vanessa
I do wedding stationery and not many people put prices straight on their website as a lot of brides want something slightly different to what's shown. Why not contact them - say you like the design but want something in black or silver and see what the price is that they quote you. If it's too expensive then have a look elsewhere - If you're not bothered about that exact design but just want an art deco style feel free to contact me to see if I can do something more in your price range. But like I say they may be a reasonable price to begin with. It never hurts to ask - they'll be used to it.

    How about
    downloading a font from here
http://www.fontspace.com/category/art%20nouveau they have loads i just downloaded on as i had not used this site before it was free and safe and quick to do.

It downloads to a zip file which you extract to wherever (i used my docs). You then open your control panel and click and drag the where you put the file into fonts icon then when you use word its there.
  • I've always thought "Broadway" font was quite art deco-would that do? It looks quite similar to me..
Also, could you not make something that you think is art deco, or is it those invitations in particular you like? I love art deco, but I always think of it as straight lines, not swirly ones, so I wondered if you could make something pretty simple but effective?

There are places online where they have invite templates already and I have seen an art deco one. You just insert your information and print on whatever colour takes your fancy. For the life of me can't remember the web page though!

    Thanks for all the replies.

I have downloaded a new font and have had a go at the inside of the invites and decided to keep the outside as originally planned (a fairly plain invite with just a simple picture on it).

Now I just have to sort out the table numbers, I've emailed the company I linked earlier so will wait to see how much they charge.

    Thanks again

I think the link to stationery you posted is more Art Noveau in my opinion. Art deco is mainly straight lines and curves, not so much swirls etc,

Anyway, I hope the price is right for you if that's what you like. If not, do get in touch as I should be able to help. Even if you just want me to get the frame and you can print and construct them yourself, I can probably do that.
