I want to download just one track and wonder if anyone could advise me of an appropriate and responsible site where I can do this.

Thanks

If someone tells you, how do they know you`ll stop at "just one track" ?

    That seems highly unlikely.

    What`s the track anyway?
  • Not very helpful and it is only one track as unfortunately I got rid of all my pre-recorded tapes and can't transfer at all. Does it make a difference which track it is, all I will say it that it is a very old one.

So can you help? And please don't tell me that it is unlikely, seems you are judging by your own standards.

Thanks for reading my post anyway.

Maybe someone else can really help.

Tell us the track and maybe someone will help.
Most of the "free sites" are illegal and we don`t want you breaking the law, do we.

There were a lot of free mp3s on Amazon last time I checked. :)
  • You could download it and pay for it. It might only cost 79p. And yes it makes a lot of difference as to what track it is. It might not be available to download, especially if it's obscure. But you might find a Youtube video.

Stacks of sites that only charge about 70p for a track, maybe the OP is taking money saving too far.:rotfl:

Also sometimes whole albums are offered legally and legitimately. I got the Smashing pumpkins album Machina II which they were offering for download.

Have a look at the thread about MFLOW on here. Recently there have been codes to get free credit and more often than not there are codes to get tracks for 20p. I'm not sure if any of the free credit codes still work but you should be able to download tracks for 20p at present.

EDIT - Just remembered there is a way to get tracks for free from MFLOW if you're on Facebook or Twitter. You need to set up an account on MFLOW then find the track you want. You can then 'flow' the track to Facebook or Twitter (just click on the icon) and you'll be given the option to download the first 10 tracks you flow free gratis and for nowt. No need for any codes or card details although if you've got a dodgy taste in music your online friends will find out all about it.

Also if you get a friend to sign up using the 'invite friends' link in the 'Account' section you both get £1 of credit. This will be enough for one track but if there's a 20p code available you could get five tracks.
