Calling all Bond Knitting Machine owners...

Many years ago when she was still little, my DD used the green and yellow cards from my Bond knitting machine for some sort of creative project. I wasn't using the machine much at the time so didn't notice

Not that I need them, but I do dream of being able to line the needles up in one fell swoop, rather than painstakingly by hand.

If you have said items in your possession, would you be so kind as to measure them for me and post on here? I can cut out bits of cardboard with a craft knife myself (as long as I have adult supervision :D) and even make them green and yellow, but I want to make sure I know how wide to make them. The yellow card is the important one I think.

Thank you dear things!

I have no experience of them myself Choclare but i'll pop this into the knitting machine thread later on when you get some help.

Silly idea possibly, but have you looked online to see if the measurements are available in google?

Thanks, zip, yes, that was the first thing I did but it seems I'm the only person who's thought of making their own. TBH you don't NEED them - I just used a hook and eye card to similar effect, but it would be useful to know...
  • Hi

I have measured the cards for you.

    Yellow card = 5.5 cm x 20 cm

    Green card = 6.2 cm x 20 cm

    Hope that helps.

  • Thank you Tilly2bob, my friend has just given me a Bond knitting machine and the cards are missing, I can now make my own :)
