Endowment claim

Hi
Some time ago now I complained to Legal & General about having been mis-sold a endowment.
They offered to reimburse my premiums but I did not think this adequate compensation for the shortfall.
I did not act within the, then, six month deadline within which I should have responded and when I did finally respond I was told it was too late.
Does anyone know if this rule still applies, or have I lost the right to appeal?
Philip

Advance warning, I am going to be harsh
You complained about being mis-sold a policy. L&G agreed with you and offered refund of premiums plus interest (which is standard for voided contracts). All fine to that point.
You decided to be greedy and get more even though you are not entitled to it and didnt accept that offer. However, you chose not to do anything about it despite being warned you had 6 months.
Now the 6 months has gone, L&G are are saying you are no longer entitled.
Seems fair enough and within the rules. Unless you have a good reason why it took you longer than 6 months they wont reconsider. Or you can tell a porky and tell them you did respond to them with further questions but never got a response and decided to give it another chase... pretending it was lost in the post.
If the time has gone on even longer, then the chances of anything working to change their mind reduces even further.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
