Yorkshire Building Society - 2yr Fixed Rate Mortgage Deal

Hi,
My current mortgage provider is Halifax, I’ve come to the end of my fixed rate period with them and have been looking around at remortgaging.
I used the independent financial advisors London & Country to help find another 2year fixed rate deal for me.
My house is worth approx £235,000 and the amount outstanding on my mortgage is £125,000/
The FA’s identified a 4.74% fixed rate deal for 2 years with Alliance & Leicester. I’ve looked around myself and have found a very similar deal with the Yorkshire Building Society. They have a slightly lower product fee, and the added bonus of £200 cashback if completed by Christmas. I got back in touch with the FA and they said YBS won’t deal with brokers and that’s why they couldn’t suggest their deal initially.
Link to the YBS site is here: http://www.ybs.co.uk/mortgages/current_products/products/fix_003.js
Does this look like a good deal?
Thanks,
Jay

Looks a good deal to me. By the way, YBS will deal with brokers, though it does not pay them a fee if they introduce cases to them!0

Doesnt YBS have yearly interest instead of monthly?0
-
YBS charges interest on a DAILY basis0

They also have a 3yr at 4.89% which I am in the process of remortgaging to - I have to say I am very impressed with them so far - from mortgage application to valulation to offer (hopefully will arrive in post tomorrow) in just over 2 weeks.0

Its a belter of a deal compared to what some others are offering at the moment but it probably won't last for too much longer as it has been very popular. YBS have improved their remortgage incentives and are now offering on the 2yr (4.74) and 3yr (4.89) fixed deals ......
- £200 cashback on mortgages completing before 25/12
- Free valuation
- Free remortgage legal service
Both products charging a £595 app fee. To complete before 25/12 you dont want to be leaving it too much longer. If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in0
