Something to do when you're debt free...

I saw this on another forum, and thought it might be a good idea...

"...Buy a gold coin. Hold onto it the rest of your life, and keep it as a reminder that you will be able to be buried with it, and that no man will have any claim on it. By all means leave it to a worthy heir in your will (there's no sense actually burying it), but keep it and take pride in the knowledge that it's a piece of wealth that nobody can take away from you."

A physical reminder of that debt-free feeling; I like the idea. (I'll keep it in store for 36 years' time, when I finally make it... :rotfl:)

If you've recently freed yourselves from the shackles of debt, what did you do with all that new-found money every month?

  • I'm hoarding it for all I'm worth.

Can hardly bear to buy anything anymore - my attitude towards money and debt has changed so much!

But it's a great feeling and no mistake.

Time to make a little hay whilst the sun shines.
