This is probably a stupid question (but it comes from a food novice)and here goes... I'm looking for a compact food processor. Whilst looking I noticed the similarity in the blade between a kenwood mini chopper and a cuisinart food processor. My question is, can one use a chopper as a basic food processor? Any experience of doing so?

Yes you can, the bowl size is the limiter & may not come with all the fancy attachments (which are rarely used).

    Hi

I've got a mini chopper. It's handy for small quantities. I mainly use it for chopping nuts and ginger/garlic paste for curries.:)

there is a thread discussing mini choppers. I use mine for making curry pastes, and chopping and prepping veg . I ionly use my FP for making pastry or some cakes although not very often. Or grating carrots for carrot cake to save my wee wrists

What do you use your FP for may also help

one of us will merge this later
