If you've been trying to get a graduate job and haven't been able to then I think you should take this if you're offered it; in this situation, your career should come first.
I don't know Tilbury but there are some perfectly nice places withing reach and you'll have the advantage of having London and all it offers within easy travelling distance.0 -

so are you say that this house http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-29119879.html is in a unsuitable area? It looks ok to me. We would be coming down to look around for a few days, but will have to find the money for travel and accommodation first
The house is fine, the area is not! Round the corner is where a lot of "youths" hang around. There have been so many drug raids in the area it's untrue.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
but as long as the local parks aren't full of drug needles then drug raids are the police problems.
In terms of youths you get that all over, drinking on streets, occasional car begin stolen, I'm used to that!!0 -

Yes, I've been to many parts of Yorkshire, but then again I'd not decide to live somewhere without checking it out first....If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Is your partner guaranteed a job if you move there or are you assuming he will find work? The latter would be an important deciding factor.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Well he is a coach driver and says that there are various companies he could be based at. He would need to look into this further but is pretty sure he could get employment in that area.
Don't forget I haven't been offered the job yet. My partner will not seriously discuss a move until I am (if I am) offered the job0 -

There isn't. I have an acquaintance I talk to regularly on MSN who lives in that area and is a coach driver. He is always saying there is very little work and what there is is paying around £6.50/hr. They actually pay less down there than up here and he is constantly amazed by what drivers are earning up here in Yorkshire and Humberside.
I'll MSN him and post his reply when he's back on.0 -
Right..what he's said:
"Its possible. London has or will have jobs when the season starts and pay about £8 an hour:"
"He needs to start making calls. Season is starting. But I wouldn't say the money is all that good to be honest. More in buses."0
