Disposing of coins?

Hi savers
Please can anyone tell me what can I do with random coins, some of which are out of circulation? I've a bagful. Some are currency like deutschmarks of francs, others are low denomination from places like Turkey or The Emirates where I'd been on holiday. Basically any that weren't pence I came across when I was younger I kept.
Many thanks

What area are you in? Take them to a coin fair and get a dealer to look at them. The Charing Cross Market on a Saturday morning still has dealers with mix bowls (much like you've described) which deals with the lower end of the market. The London Coin Fair, Midland Coin Fair, York, Coinex etc tend to deal with the higher end but if one of these are more local to you then you can try. Dealers will often give you a valuation based on what they can squeeze out of it so it's worth either asking around or going to a reputable dealer (member of the BNTA - British Numismatic Trade Association) in order to get the best price. Could be that you'll only be offered a fiver for the lot, or you might have a hidden gem, won't know till you try0
