My Grandma always made cakes like this. She has a whole collection of fat free, sugar free recipes from back in the 80s when fat free diets were the thing. They sound yack but always manage to taste amazing. Mind you, she is the best cook ever. But everyone thinks that about their grandmas don't they

This looks really interesting - it's dairy free which is great for us too. Thanks.
Will set the recipe aside to try for a special occasion, (it uses dates and not basics mixed fruit lol!).0 -

I got my dates in Asdas in the baking section

I didn't use a whole packet and have plenty left to make it again
and I only used their basics dried fruit
hope that helps x x0 -
Hi
just made Molly Cake, It's been out of the oven for about half an hour and a slice jumped in my mouth.... oops!!!!! Very nice indeed although I'd go with the "it looked yucky when in the bowl" gang!!!!
Made bottom of the cupboard bars (do a forum search) too.... they are also good.
Owl xChildren are born with wings .... Teachers help them to flyOne day your life is going to flash in front of your eyes.... Make sure it's worth watching!!!!!0
