More info on The Daily Mail DVD giveaway....

Free Lark Rise to Candleford DVD

Lark Rise to Candleford is a costume drama series, adapted from Flora Thompson’s trilogy of semi-autobiographical novels about the English countryside. We are giving you the chance to own the whole first series.

The series is set in the small Oxfordshire hamlet of Lark Rise where the residents are farm workers and craftsmen, keeping the traditions of rural life alive from generation to generation. Their lives run in parallel with their wealthier neighbours in Candleford, where the independent and effervescent Dorcas Lane (played by Julia Sawalha) is the local post mistress. She takes her young cousin, Laura Timmins (played by Olivia Halliman) under her wing at the Local Post Office to start a new life. Through the observations of these two characters we see the daily lives of families, rivals, friends and neighbours living and working together, through the best and worst of times.

On Saturday, the Daily Mail is giving our readers the chance to collect the first series of Lark Rise to Candleford on 7 DVDs. Today, you can pick up the first disc in the collection featuring the first two episodes.

    How to get your DVDs

Simply take the voucher printed in the paper to your nearest Tesco, WHSmith store or Eason* , where in return you will be given a free copy of each days DVD. Or if you prefer, just collect four tokens that we'll be printing until Friday 4th March and send them to the address we will publish later in the promotion together with a cheque for £5.99, and we will send you the entire collection of seven DVDs.

There will also be a chance to apply for a fabulous presentation case to keep your collection in pristine condition. Details will be printed next week.
