 I reserved this last night at 9pm, so after closing store closing time at a price of £38.99.
I wake up this morning to find it has gone up £11.00 !

Do you think the store manager might honour the price I was emailed?

  • Not likely but no harm in asking Argos always state the price you pay is at the day you pay at the till

I'd give it a go. I kicked up my heels at Argos last week when something I'd ordered at half price had gone up to full price by the time they were able to get it to the shop as the offer had stopped the day before. After a bit of consulatation, they agreed to honour the half price, so it's worth making the point and seeing what happens.

:D Picked the camera up this morning and took my email reservation showing the reserve price of £38.99.
I went to the payment kiosk to pay and sure enough the price had gone to £49.99. So I went to the tills and showed my reservation email to the sales assistant who said that I could have it for the price it was reserved for.:T Absolutley brilliant bargain thanks OP.

  • Thank you very much for posting this. I reserved the red one last night at £39.99 and found it had increased in price this morning, I have picked it up from Argos this afternoon with a copy of the email showing the lower price and they honoured it. Really pleased with this, looks like a decent camera!!
  • i saw this thread last night and reserved the only camera local to me at £38.99,but when i went to buy it i found that it had gone up to £49.99, i said i did not want it as it had gone up since i reserved it and the SA went and asked her supervisor and they let me have it for the orignal price, they did say if i reserve anything again at a low price to print out the page and they will honour it, i felt this was really great of argos as, and i have had a quick play with the camera and its fantastic, just checked it on amazon and its £75.77, thanks WishI'dReadSooner:j:j:j:T:T:T:T
  • I'm more and more impressed with this camera. I accidentely turned the flash off last night & got AMAZING pictures when it was just about dark. Tried the same in the house with just a 9W energy saving bulb on & no flash. Perfect photos! Panoramic shots are great.

I just can't see what difference this is to cameras far more than double the price by Fuji. The specs seem the same. Hubby was way impressed too as it compares VERY well to his far more expensive near SLR from Fuji.

For a 5xoptical zoom and wide angle it's still well worth the £49.99 it's gone up to.

I posted a Sandisc 16GB SDHC card on here for just £14.99 from amazon to go with this.
