Renting car parking spaces??

Hi all

I have just had an interview for a job in Northampton town centre. Now this may all be wishful think as I might not get the job ... but parking permits for the area are £1300 pa. I wonder if anyone has any experience of approaching people about renting out their parking bays.

Some quick Google reseach shows the going rate at approx £50-60pcm but no spaces available within the area I am looking at (would not be keen on walking too far after dark).

Do you think it be ok to drop some flyers through peoples doors? Would you respond to one?

Not sure if it's the 'done' thing!!

People advertise their driveways / garages for rent. You just need to put in the post code and it will give you the available parking spaces
