Hi all

I dont post much and havent for quite a while but I need all of you lovely people to keep up my levels of motivation

Im currently studying but also I am self employed and the last couple of years have been dismal with regards to finance :(. Being self-employed is always a roller coaster ride but my expenses seemed to have rocketed over the last couple of years and at the same time business slowed down.

Anyway, Ive not been very organised when it comes to putting my accounts in (its always January before I get around to it) so Ive been paying the lovely Tax Man the estimated amounts in each Jan/July and then due to not finalising my accounts until the very last minute  I discovered that I was due quite a nice return this January. Also, I receive WTC/CTC and of course these have never been correct due to my sloth-like behaviour when it comes to my tax returns :D.

To cut a long story short :rotfl: I received a refund from the lovely Mr Tax Man in Feb  and also the lovely people at HMRC also caught up with my Tax Credits.

So, instead of shopping until Im dropping I have actually used all of it to pay off my debts :money:.

Now I need to keep going and I want to pay the lot off in the next few months. I know I have been incredibly lucky with everything being refunded in the last month or so - but the state of my bank accounts for the last year or so has been appalling and the amounts of unpaid direct debits and resulting bank charges could have probably paid off the National Debt.

Anyway, I will update my details in my signature to show the amounts still outstanding.

I also have just discovered that I have PPI on a loan and on a CC and I have no idea if the cover does indeed 'cover' me? So I want to cancel these so I will need help with this. As soon as I can dig the paperwork out I will post the details.

Im sure I've bored you enough for now - but as dear old Arnie says 'I'll be back' :j xxxx
